OUR MACHINES

The first CNC which was purchased by Wysa was a Victor VT 20 lathe and since WYSA has been loyal to the brand. Besides the new additions, we have 13 CNC turning machines and 6 Milling machines on the floor, a Victor X200 machining centre/twin spindle lathe for complex production-based work, another 3 midsize machining centres with a full 4th axis capability along with a high speed 3 axis milling machine (full Renishaw probing and tool pre-setter) is used in operations. We also have a Victor V165 with a 4.5 axis (diameter 500mm chuck) and a machining capacity of 1650 mm x 1000 x 1000.  We do have other equipment on the floor that allows us to offer various ancillary operations but our main focus is on machining. This includes 2 band saws for cutting, a 40-ton hydraulic press and various drilling and manual drilling and turning machines. A full 4-axis slotting machine for various gears, splines and keyways.

We also offer limited welding with a fully qualified welder on most materials. The company currently employs 47 staff, most of them having been with the company more than 5 years. We run a full Mastercam CAD system to ensure good quality and accuracy.

We manufacture mainly mechanical equipment for the mining and industrial sectors. Our Victor CNC V-centre H 1000 horizontal machining centre is fitted with a full 4th– axis, a twin pallet system and a 90-tool magazine, which gives us the capability to machine large castings, up to 2400kgs and approximately 1.3 cubic meters. The machine is equipped with a Renishaw probe that allows us to measure and control the tight tolerances that we are required to machine to. The Samsung Pl 45 Xl with steady rest is perfect for longer shafts and components. It enables us to turn components of Diameter 690mm x 3000mm long. Two new Victor Vturn 26Hd machines were also installed, specifically for medium to large component cutting at heavy feed rates. Along with the newest additions a Victor Vturn S26 has been installed utilizing the latest technologies in machine tools with servo turret and high-speed rapid rates and a 30-degree one piece slant bed for excellent precision

 

The 800m2 production floor is a busy place, with more than 100 active projects at any given time.

The 10-ton overhead crane supports these operations. Along with smaller cranes at strategic points.

We machine a lot of high-pressure valve components, drill rig and loader spares.
