WELCOME TO WYSA ENGINEERING
The Centurion, Gauteng based machine shop first began running CNC machines over 35 years ago, a time when few manufacturers had transcended the divide between manual and CNC machining. For WYSA, it was the beginning of a specialization in a high mix production in which setup time is often a make-or-break factor in meeting deliveries and making profits.
The company began operating in 1988 when it got an opportunity to machine a few components for an international company, this set the company on the road to concentrate on the mining sector because of South Africa’s involvement.
Machining castings into precision components can be quite a challenge, in addition to traditional machining and handling issues, global competition can put pressure on shops to keep the prices down. At WYSA, we have developed a long-term strategy to develop and manufacture tight tolerance parts and achieve aggressive cost targets.
The 800m2 production floor is a busy place, with more than 100 active projects at any given time. The 10-ton overhead crane supports these operations. Along with smaller cranes at strategic points. We machine a lot of high-pressure valve components, drill rig and loader spares.
